A table setting in magenta & green: the tuscan elegance

A beautifully styled table is all about the details. I jumped from Lake Como to Tuscany and fpounf my self to set up two imperial tables at the amazing Castello Meleto in Chianti Region. I wanted to create a look that felt elegant, colourful and full of personality, combining timeless Italian craftsmanship with a fresh, contemporary touch. My bride and groom loved colors but were elegant, not eccentric.

The star of the table was the "Oriente Italiano collection" by Richard Ginori, in its striking magenta and green palette. The porcelain became the starting point for the entire design, guiding the choice of flowers, candles and stationery. My bride was really convinced in using the Ginori tableware.

Ranunculus, dahlias, carnations and craspedia brought the same rich colours to the floral arrangements, creating a harmonious connection between the tableware and the natural elements. Green taper candles added height and a soft, romantic atmosphere, while the long imperial table encouraged a sense of intimacy and conviviality. We used light grey chairs to match the castle walls.

Even the invitations echoed the overall aesthetic, finished with wax seals in matching colours for a cohesive touch. It took a loot to find the proper colors, but we did it :)

The secret of a professional table setting is creating a common thread. Rather than choosing every element separately, start with one distinctive detail and build the entire design around it. By repeating colours, balancing heights and mixing textures, even a bold palette can feel refined and effortless. The result is a table that celebrates italian design and the art of bringing people together.
